SURGERY CANCELED!

You guys...the surgery was canceled. Seriously. There were a series of events that lead to this but the main reason was because they had a power outtage weds and they had to bump someone's surgery to yesterday...which made her plastic surgeon have to operate until 2:30am last night. The head of surgery decided that it was just too late to operate. The plastic surgeon also said that Mom deserves him to be at his sharpest.
I think it goes without saying that this is really hard for Mom. It took everything she had in her to prepare for today...and now she has to go through all of this again.
Her surgery has been rescheduled for Tuesday.

    Well thankfully the plastic surgeon is wise....sorry about that though.

    I am so sorry to hear that it was cancelled, I am sure that it has to be hard on all of you and you all want it to be over with. But atleast you know that the dr will be 100% when your mom is in his/her care..

    Dear Jean Ann,
    I honestly have been praying for skilled hands and minds for those that are doing the surgery and taking care of you. I have complete empathy of the postponement, my surgery went the same way. I had to wait 3 days and I'm telling you, I almost starved and that stupid fleet fizzie-stuff that reamed-me-out was NOT fun! And...not to mention, the extreme worry that it would happen again. The delays are common, but terrible when they happen.

    However, I'm glad that the surgeon was not only wise but humble enough to admit that he/she is not super-human ... like some doctors, I know. Yes, you are in an amazing hospital. I love you bunches.

    I just heard Steve talk to Bree moving instead of Toad Suck, Arkansas to Clucksville, Arkansas. Sounds like your backyard...lymi ((((((lots of hugs))))))
