She's sitting up - 5:30 PM

I just gor back to Mom's room after a nice 3 hour nap with Ruby. I just wanted to share a funny story. At 4AM this morning, Dad came into the room to see if I needed to be relieved. As soon as he walked in the room Mom said, "I LOVE DRUGS." Dad laughed, sat at the side of her bed, leaned over to kiss her face and said, "I love you too...don't touch me." HAHA! She was really cute about expressing her fear of pain. Dad laughed and said, "Ok" and sweetly and carefully backed away after smooching her lips. We were all laughing about her funny delivery of humor, even in such terrible pain.
She's sitting up and having a little protein shake and sourdough bread. She's doing SO MUCH better. She's eating on her own for the first time and is even lifting her arms a little.
