UPDATE - 1PM

Mom is doing well without oxygen this afternoon, which is GREAT news! Her blood pressure is also much better and they are thinking it was low due to not responding well to Vicodin. They've been trying a number of pain relievers for her, and she DID NOT do well with Vicodin. She feels really terrible today because the Vicodin made her hallucinate and feel very uneasy. She's back on the pill form of Diloted, which she says is like heaven. :) It had just kicked in when we left her a few minutes ago and she was enjoying a pain-free rest.
Mom is set on going home, and the nurses have trained Dad and I on how to care for her properly...but the doctors haven't released her yet. She's taking a nap right now, but knows it won't last because someone comes and bugs her every 20 minutes. We'll just have to wait and see if the doctors decide she's ready to go home or not. I'll let ya know!

  3. Vicodin is my least favorite pain killer..it stops your whole system. One time Marnie had to take it for, I can't remember, but she was at the beach house and was sunning herself when she bolted-up and started playing the drums. The drums weren't there, neither were the drum sticks. Yeah, not good.
